NWS: Storms possible this afternoon and tonight

The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, issued the following hazardous weather outlook for portions of south central and east central Kentucky, including Adair and all surrounding counties, at 3:59amET on Wednesday, April 13, 2022:

Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected across the outlook area this afternoon and tonight. Straight line damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be the main threats with this activity.

Likely timing of severe weather Wednesday night

Mike Keltner, Director of Adair Co. Emergency Management sends updated word from the National Weather Service about the timing of potential severe weather this evening. According to the latest forecasts, the front will most likely affect Adair County between 9pmCT and 1amCT. Several lines of strong to severe storms will be possible as a front moves through the area.
