Sarah Withers in top 15 in Miss Teen USA competition!

  • Columbia teen poised and beautiful before national Tvaudience

  • Miss Withers' performance a great win for this community
Sarah Withers took Columbia to national television prominence Monday evening as she appeared in competion for the Miss Teen USA title. Ben Arnold noted what a win that is for our community as he and Margaret watched the live coverage in their home. They were very familiar with the program after going through the experience with their daughter Lizzy in 1998 and were hoping, along with all of Adair County, that Sarah could win it all.

Sarah looked poised and beautiful as she appeared in both swim suit and gown. While Adair County would have made her the new Miss Teen USA, Sarah did make it into the top fifteen which is quite an accomplishment. We salute her and welcome her home to continue her reign here as Miss Kentucky Teen USA.

"You don't know how hard their work is," Margaret said, remembering what their family went through, "Sarah has been through a week of hard work in interviews and presentations. She did really well."
