Gracie Alice Perkins Bloyd, 106, Green County, KY Gracie Alice Perkins Bloyd of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Other Perkins and Nannie Bett Price Perkins, was born on Saturday, October 9, 1915 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. She was 106 years, 5 months, and 27 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age, was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She united in marriage to Garnett Bloyd on August 27, 1932 who preceded her in death on July 18, 2003. Survivors include two daughters: Velma Louise Bloyd Sea and Shirley Etta Bloyd Roby both of Louisville; two grandchildren: Tammy Carol Morgan and Darlene Groves both of Louisville; a great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother: Bro. Dan Perkins of Magnolia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Bloyd was also preceded in death by her step-mother: Gertrude Perkins; a grandchild: Vondylon Morgan; brothers and sisters: Hazel Neagle, John Arthur Perkins, William Lewis Perkins, Ray Milby and Ora Willia Jeffries. The funeral services for Gracie Alice Perkins Bloyd will be conducted at 1pmCT Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery. Rev. Thomas Downey officiating. Visitation is requested after 10amCT Saturday until time of the funeral service.
