Cast your votes for Sarah Withers, Miss Kentucky Teen USA Adair County sends this message: GOOD LUCK, SARAH WITHERS!!!!!!! Sarah Bryan Withers, the 17 year old daughter of Andy and Debbie Withers, little sister of Clint and Cody, senior and morning news anchor at ACHS, bingo announcer at Summit Manor Nusing Home, and cashier at Red Barn BBQ, will compete for the crown of Miss Teen USA on Monday night August 8 at 9/8 p.m. on NBC, live from Baton Rouge Louisiana. Sarah is the second girl from Columbia to be crowned Miss Kentucky Teen USA. Elizabeth Arnold won the title in 1998. Sarah is reported to have been in Louisiana for over a week now, working very hard. The preliminaries are tonight where they will pick fifteen girls for the final competition. She is on the Student Council, in NHS, FFA, PSI, BETA, Pep Club, Envirothon Team, and was a 2003 Rogers Scholar. The sports she enjoys include softball and cheerleading. Growing up on a horse farm and having older brothers has made her quite a tomboy. She says her hobbies are: going mudding, 4-wheeling, frog gigging and fishing, horseback riding, playing cards, drawing, and singing. Sarah says she hopes to raise awareness in the fight against cancer and plans to speak at middle schools about leadership, the importance of volunteering, and just good old fashion kindness and respect.
