Wind Advisory for March 30, 2022, strong storms possible

Mike Keltner, Director of Adair Co. Emergency Management, sends word that the National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a wind advisory from 9amCT through 11pmCT on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, for an area that includes Adair and surrounding counties.

South winds 30 to 40 mph, with gusts 45 to 55 mph, are expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Large tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle on east-west roads. Secure outdoor objects.

In addition, strong to severe storms are possible ahead of a cold front this evening into tonight. Damaging wind gusts and isolated spin up tornadoes will be the main threats.
