Clarel Allen, 92, Casey County, KY (1929-2022) Clarel Allen, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the age of 92. She was a former seamstress at the sewing factory. She enjoyed babysitting and quilting. Born August 21, 1929, in Hamilton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Lola Buck Scott. Survivors include her son, Garland (and Shirley) Allen of Liberty; daughters, Berniece (and Bradley) Fair of Campbellsville, Nancy (and William) Shoopman of Liberty, Reece Whited of Campbellsville, and Freida Black of Liberty; brother, Gene (and Gwen) Coffman of Jamestown, IN; sisters, Maxine Murphy of Indianapolis, IN, and Brenda Harris of New Whiteland, IN; sister-in-law, Maxine Scott of Liberty; 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer, Natasha, and Shavahn; 6 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zoie, Emily, Chloe, Collin, and Corbyn; and a host of other relatives and friends also survive. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Waymon Allen; son, Denny Allen; brother, Clyde Scott; sister, Doris Parlett; sons-in-law, Paul Tarter III, James Allen, and Ron Whited; and daughter-in-law, Phyllis Allen. Funeral services will be held at 1pmET Friday, March 25, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey County Memorial Gardens.
