Phyllis Ann Black, 77, Taylor County, KY (1944-2022) Phyllis Ann Black, 77, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Chester Atwood and Retha Sweeden Atwood, was born August 1, 1944, in Casey County, Kentucky, and departed this life Monday, March 14th, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital. She professed her faith in Christ and was a member at Campbellsville Baptist Temple. Phyllis worked as a preschool teacher at Highview Baptist in Louisville, service desk manager at K-Mart, she also worked at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. Phyllis was a loving mother, wife, daughter, and grandmother. She also liked to cook and especially loved taking care of her grandchildren the most. She loved all her family and friends dearly. Phyllis united in marriage to Jerry Black on September 18th, 1965, who survives Phyllis is also survived by: One son: Brian Black and his wife, Marsha, of Campbellsville. Three grandchildren: Chris Black, and his wife, Sarah, of Campbellsville; Grace Black, of Campbellsville; Shawn Black, and Joel Nault, of Louisville. Two great-grandchildren: Karson Black, and Kylie Black, of Campbellsville. Two sisters: Ruby Cox and her husband, Mac, of Elkhorn; Hazel Sroczynski and her husband, Tom, of Liberty. Two brothers: Don Atwood and his wife, Brenda, of Casey County and Shearl Atwood of Casey County. Special Niece: Donna Carman, of Casey County. Along with several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends Besides her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by: Three brothers: Earl Atwood, H. Dee Atwood, and Marvin Atwood. Two sisters: Dorothy Allen, and Helen Allen. Funeral services are Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville. Visitation is Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 5pm-8pmET. Bro. Jase Divens and Bro. Tim Anderson will be officiating the service. Burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
