Bernice Burke, 81, Casey County, KY native (1940-2022) Bernice Burke of Jamestown, KY, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. She was 81. Bernice was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed gardening and watching her game shows. Born on May 15, 1940, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Ioda Cleary Overstreet. She is survived by three daughters, Sherah (Jerry) Young of Jamestown, Deborah Burke (Morris Carter) of Jamestown; and Marsha Burke of Columbia; two sons, Stephen (Amy) Burke of Sneedville, TN and Anthony (Melinda) Burke of Knifley; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors include a brother, Murrell Overstreet of Dunnville; and a sister, Rosemary Abell of Liberty. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Burke; two brothers, Buford Overstreet and Charles Overstreet; and six sisters, Retha Miller, Reba Overstreet, Beulah Delk, Jewell Cadell, Doris Thomas, and Lois Evans. The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8pmET on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Calvin Overstreet, Justin Burke, Cody Burke, Brandon Rednour, Dustin Samuel, and Riley Hatfield.
