Mary Lou Friant, 68, Metcalfe County, KY (1953-2022) Mary Lou "Lou Lou" Friant, 68, of Edmonton, KY passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Mary Lou was born June 16, 1953 in Metcalfe County to the late Hughie and Sarah Ellen Hurt. She was a retired custodian at Carhartt in Edmonton, retiring July 2021. She was a homemaker and will be remembered for her warm personality and contagious smile. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Oakley Hurt and Clyde "Jack" Hurt. A sister, Hazel Brown and a great nephew Ryan Gibson. Mary Lou is survived by one son, Mark "Kellie Phelps" Friant of Edmonton. Special children, Lisa (Cecil) Froedge, Troy Gibson and Sherry Gibson all of Edmonton. Her companion of 45 years plus, Floyd "Fred" Gibson of Edmonton. A sister, Christine (Howard) Hall of Edmonton. Grandchildren. Darrell Froedge, Shelia (Brock) Stilts, Robert (Danielle) Smith, Allie Joe Deweese and Rylee Reece. Great grandchildren. Branham, Brantley, Brenlynn and Rylan Levi. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial to follow in the Cedar Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30-8pmCT Saturday and after 9am Sunday at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. This story was posted on 2022-03-12 18:13:51
