Lois Mae Claiborne, 77, Columbia, KY (1945-2022) Lois Mae (Absher) Claiborne of Columbia passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Tristar Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN. She was 77 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10amCT on Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born on January 21, 1945 in Adair County to the late Joe and Emma Moore Absher. Lois was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed flower gardening, driving the countryside and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her son Kevin Claiborne of Columbia, KY; two grandsons Dusty and Dylan Claiborne of Columbia, KY; a sister Alma Furkins of Columbia, KY; a special niece Patricia Floyd of Columbia, KY and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by a special friend Alvie Lee Burton and six siblings Edith Floyd, Thelma Wall, Allene Collins, Mattie Lawhorn, James Absher and Hollin Absher.
