Brenda Sue Hatcher, 78, Adair County, KY (1943-2022)

Brenda Sue Hatcher, 78, of Columbia, died Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born March 8, 1943 to the late Marvin and Thirsie Keltner Downey.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 10amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Barney Taylor, Bro. William Davenport and Bro. Tim Cooper officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is after 4pmCT Tuesday.



Casket Bearers - Blake Hatcher, Jeffery Burton, Zack Hatcher, Tristen Keith, Austin Hatcher and Colton Downey.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hatcher, five brothers, Coy, Hollis, Thomas, Kenneth and Arlin Downey, two sisters, Diana Stone and Zenith Hatcher and a grandchild, Skyler Hatcher. Brenda was a homemaker and member of Milltown Church.

Survivors include:

Three sons - Jeff Hatcher (Vicki), Randy Hatcher ( Sharon Gupton), and Brad Hatcher (Melinda Knight) all of Columbia

One daughter - Miranda Hatcher of Columbia

One brother - Jimmie Downey of Columbia

Two sisters - Evon Legg and Geneva Holmes both of Columbia

Seven grandchildren - Malisha Hatcher (Austin Henderson), Blake Hatcher (Abby), Zack Hatcher, Tristen Keith, Austin Hatcher, Jeffery Burton (Kristy), and Stephanie Richards

Five great-grandchildren - Krew Henderson, Autumn Burton, Jordan Burton, J.R. Kelsay, and a great-grandson due in May 2022

Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
