Windy, increasing clouds, high 68F

It's currently 47F at the Adair County Mesonet station. We'll see increasing clouds, with a high near 68F. A Wind Advisory is in effect today until 6pmCT, and then again tomorrow through 9pmCT. It will be breezy today, with a south wind 14 to 22 mph, gusting as high as 41 mph.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a 20 percent chance of showers after 3amCT. The overnight low will be around 53F with south wind 11 to 16 mph.

A strong system will move across the region Thursday bringing widespread rainfall and gusty winds over 40 mph at times. There will be a 100 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9amCT. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Thursday's high will be near 68F. South wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Temperatures will drop to a low around 26F, and it will be breezy, with a southwest wind 18 to 23 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph.
