Gary Dale Henson, 72, Liberty, KY (1949-2022) Gary Dale Henson of Liberty passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Casey County Hospital, on the forty-eighth anniversary of the marriage to his loving wife. He was 72 years old. The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Troy Coffey and Bro. Dale Polston officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30pmET to 8pmET on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on September 1, 1949, to Robert "Bob" and Irene "Dean" Smith Henson. Gary was a truck driver. He was a member of South Fork Separate Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, who he thought hung the moon and stars. He enjoyed riding horses, coon hunting, and running his beagles. He is survived by his wife, Nita Polston Henson, who he wed on February 11, 1974; a daughter, Vanessa Hines of Waynesburg; a son, Gary Stephen (Jessica) Henson of Liberty; grandchildren, Autum (Cameron) Walls of Stanford, Seth Hines of McKinney, and Hayden Henson of Liberty; sisters, Marcilla (Dale) Hines of Liberty and Shirley Clark of Science Hill; a brother, Joe (Donna) Henson of Franklin, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Gadberry of Cambridge City, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by granddaughters, Lily Brooke Bullock and Anna Dawn Hines; a great-granddaughter, Presley Mozzelle Baker; sisters, Mildred Gadberry, Lucille Richardson, and Drucilla Rodgers. Memorial contributions may the form of donations directly to the Henson family. Arrangements for Mr. Gary Dale Henson are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
