D.A.R.E. graduation at ACMS

Columbia Police Department

Adair County Middle School's sixth grade participated in D.A.R.E. graduation this afternoon at ACMS. Students had previously completed the course during the fall semester.

The Columbia Police Department as well as numerous school faculty and staff were on hand today as students received their certificates as well having the opportunity for various prizes by drawings. Students were also awarded for best male and female written essays.

DARE is positive police officer interaction in a classroom setting where the curriculum covers drug education (differences in good and bad), bullying, social media. It and other topics kids might face in todays society.
