Rebecca Sue Parnell, 73, Columbia, KY (1948-2022)

Rebecca "Becky" Sue (Boston) Parnell passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She was 73 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Wess Jolly officiating. Entombment will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation is requested on Sunday from 2pmCT until 7pmCT.


Rebecca Sue Parnell gained her heavenly reward on February 9, 2022, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 22, 1948 to the late James "Lum" Boston and Esther McCubbin Sanders, who survives.

"Bccky" was of the Baptist faith and tried to reflect that in her daily life. She enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry where she made many friends.

She loved her family and took pride in all their accomplishments. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Adam Isbell, a grandson, Andrew Cowan, a brother, Michael Boston, a sister-in-law, Donna Sanders, her step-dad, Robert "Bob" Sanders and her step-mon, Becky Boston.

In addition to her mother, Becky is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jimmy Parnell. Five children, Matt Isbell, Marvin (Monica) Isbell, Tammy (Terry) Alford, Landon (Leann) Parnell and Lucas (Angela) Parnell, 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four brothers, Gary Sanders, Robbie (Alta) Sanders, Jimmy (Linda) Boston, Roger (Karen) Boston, two sisters, Patricia (Randy) Cooper and Betsy (Michael) Morgan. Many other family members and friends

Honorary: Stephanie Wilson, Mackenzie Parnell, Jennifer Brown

The family would appreciate a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital instead of flowers, which can be made at the funeral home
