A ColumbiaMagazine.com milestone: Photo #1,000 We chose as our 1,000th photo a favorite family picture. The little basketball player in Photo #1,000 offers a perfect demonstration of a can-do attitude: No goal is too high, just stretch harder and shoot higher. This photo was selected to go into the photo archives in this significant position because it gives a positive message, and that is our goal with ColumbiaMagazine.com: To showcase the best of Adair County. Evan Waggener is also the grandson of the publishers. For us, that makes him one of two perfect models for this positive message, the other perfect model being his older brother Graham, whom we've featured as many times as we could sneak another grandchild photo by ColumbiaMagazine.com's webmaster, their dad, Pen. If you haven't done so yet, may we invite you to go to the site menu and click on "photo archive." You'll find friends, family, places and events from years of photos, 1,000 in all, if we've counted right. We hope you will make it a point to send us your own family photos and news this coming year. We look forward to celebrating good news with each of you. Thank you for helping us reach this milestone. Thank you for reading. Thank you for contributing the news and photos. Thank you for your news tips, your comments, your encouragement, and your constructive criticism. Thanks to our advertisers for your help in making this site possible; and thanks to the many readers who have let our advertisers know they appreciate the support our advertisers have given. And thanks to all of you who have spread the word, over so much of the world, about ColumbiaMagazine.com! Finally, and most importantly, thanks for all the prayers you said for Evan and his doctors two years ago. With the greatest appreciation, - LINDA and ED WAGGENER Send comments to: linda@columbiamagazine.com or ed@columbiamagazine.com This story was posted on 2005-07-08 21:44:04
