Doyce W. Tucker, 73, Green Co., KY (1948-2022)

Doyce W. Tucker of Green County passed away on January 30, 2022 at his home. He was 73 years old.

The funeral services for Doyce W. Tucker will be conducted at 11amCT on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Wednesday until time of the funeral service.


Doyce W. Tucker, son of the late William Doyce Tucker and Audrey Kessler Tucker, was born on Saturday, November 27, 1948 in Green County.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church. He was also owner and operator of Tuckers 218 Automotive.

Survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Elaine Wright Tucker of Green County having united in marriage on May 16, 1970.

Other survivors include two sons: Wayne Tucker of Summersville, and Kenneth Wade Tucker of Green County; a daughter and son-in-law: Serenda "Rendi" and Steve LoBue of Glasgow; a grandson: Tucker Steven LoBue of Glasgow; a step-grandson: Evan LoBue of Indiana; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald Gene and Margaret Tucker, Mark "Bunny" and Diane Tucker all of Green County, and Keith and Vicki Tucker of Campbellsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Reta and Tommy Davis, and Diane and Lewis Poynter all of Green County; brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: J.W. "Dub" and Fay Wright of Green County, and Larry Wright of Franklin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Tucker was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Brenda Read, Patsy Nunn, and Bobby "Cotton" Tucker; a brother-in-law: Bobby Wright.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
