Betty L. Ballenger, 79, Jamestown, KY (1943-2022)

Betty L. Ballenger of Jamestown passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at Russell County Hospital. She was 79 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Monday, February 7, 2022, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Stan Milby and Bro. Shelton Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Dixon Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.

Friends may visit on Monday from 11amCT until the time of service at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.

Betty was born in Jamestown, KY on February 4, 1943, a daughter of the late Lizzie Rachel (Campbell) Murphy and Arvil Dixon.

She was a homemaker and the wife of Mitchell Ballenger of Jamestown, KY.

Betty is survived by:
  • A daughter, Lisa Marie Burchett, of Jamestown, KY;
  • Three sons Mitchell Ballenger, II, husband of Breanna, Damon Ballenger, and Bryan Lawhorn, all of Jamestown, KY;
  • A brother, Jerry Dixon, of Louisville, KY.
  • 9 grandchildren
  • 12 great grandchildren
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons, Mark and Paul Montgomery.
