Rain today and falling temps, Flood Watch through late tonight

It's currently 39F at the Adair County Mesonet station. We'll have rain today, possibly heavy at times, with temperature falling to around 36F by 5pmCT. North wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches are possible, and a Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight.

Tonight we'll have a 100 percent chance of more rain, possibly heavy at times, that will likely combine with freezing rain and sleet as temperatures fall in the early morning. The overnight low will be around 24F. North wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. New ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.3 of an inch possible, and new sleet accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.

On Friday morning, snow showers and freezing rain are likely before 8amCT, switching over to a chance of freezing drizzle between 8amCT and 10amCT. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 31F and north wind 8 to 10 mph. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.

Friday night will be partly cloudy, with an overnight low around 13F. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
