LWC Indoor Track & Field at Tiger Paw Invitational

Louisville, KY - The Lindsey Wilson Indoor Track and Field teams returned to Louisville on Friday to compete in the Tiger Paw Invitational hosted by the Norton Center.

The Blue Raiders picked up 24 top-ten finishes in 19 events while the women racked up three wins in three separate events including the 60-meter dash, the 4x800 relay and the Distance Medley.


Edwin Van Wyk got things started for the men's team after finishing sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of seven seconds. Van Wyk went on to earn a top-five finish in the 200-meter run finishing fifth with a time of 22.42.

Jaylun Wallace placed fifth in the 400-meter run after placing a time of 50.70 while Noah Brown placed sixth in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:27.79. Michael Schonter earned the same finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.20 while Jim Headrick placed sixth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:09.59 while Brown went on to place third in the mile run with a time of 4:44.62. A combination of Brown, Justin Stearns, Nolan Foushee and Schonter finished second in the 4x800 relay with a time of 8:50.12 while Logan Bullock, Marcus Abel, Jace Cowman, and Headrick placed third with a time of 8:53.14. In the distance medley, Jordan Tucker, Brown, Schonter and Levi Owens placed second with a time of 11:15.63.

As for the women, Jozlen Brisbon won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.69, earning an "A" standard while Kerry Ann Scott took fourth with a time of 8.02. Brisbon also took sixth in the 200-meter run with a time of 26.26.

Olivia Rudder placed second in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:47.65 while Meredith Johnson took the same finish in the mile run with a time of 5:16.48. In the relays, a group of Johnson, Kaylee Masden, Alyssa Sharp and Olivia Rudder took the 4x800 relay with a time of 10:22.11 while Kirsten Crepps, Macey Wilson, Annabelle Walker and Cady Schoeck finished fifth with a time of 11:25.78. In the distance medley, Kayla Roeder, Rudder, Masden and Sharp took first with a time of 13:51.83.

In the field events, Luna Senica finished second in the long jump with a jump of 5.47 meters while Henriette Hawlas took sixth with a jump of 5.29 meters. Hawlas also placed third in the high jump with a jump of 1.55 meters. Lastly, Malorie Carter placed seventh in the weight throw with a throw of 13.29 meters.

The Blue Raiders will return to action in February.
