Harold W. Weiand, 73, Russell Springs, KY (1948-2022)

Harold W. Weiand of Russell Springs passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at his residence. He was 73 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jeffery Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Springs Cemetery, 1516 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

Visitation will be 5 PM Saturday, January 29 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY.


He was born on Wednesday, October 20, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of the late Elva McGowan Weiand and the late Harold Weiand, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Weiand.

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Sandra Hare Weiand of Russell Springs, KY
  • Two Daughters: Sherri Weiand Coffey, spouse Roger Dale, of Jamestown, KY, and Angela Boortz, spouse Aaron, of Glasgow, KY
  • Two Sons: Allan Williams, spouse Pebbles, of Jamestown, KY, and Timothy Williams, of Converse, TX.
  • Seven granddaughters
  • Four grandsons
  • One great-grandson
  • A host of nieces and nephews
He was the owner of Dry Branch Construction building several homes and businesses in the community. He was an avid horseman and trained many horses in his life and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed activities with his wife of 29 years and viewed spending time with family and friends as very special events. His took pride in working hard to provide a good life for the special people in his life.

Pallbearers: Ralph Grider, Roger Blankenship, Brett McQueary, Austin Hickman, Aaron Boortz and Allan Williams. Honorary Pallbearers: John Mark Goodin, Denver Wilson and Dexter Mattingly
