Michael Charles Sallee, 69, Liberty, KY (1952-2021) Michael Charles Sallee, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Danville, KY. He was 69. Born January 22, 1952, in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Bert Sallee and Betty Ruth Witt Zillig. Michael was a construction excavator and estimator for over 30 years. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family, often telling stories and being a jokester. Michael was an avid fan of Kentucky Basketball, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed dirt track racing, music, and formerly playing drums in a band. Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Morgan Sallee, whom he wed on September 18, 1993; daughter, Sarah Rene (and Pete) Breitlander of Costa Rica; son, Chris Morgan of Liberty; sister, Janet C. Davis of Northern Kentucky; three grandchildren, Cassidy, Elsa, and Kaia; nephew, Brad Davis; and nieces, Shelly Everson, Lora Davis, and Emily Ursprung. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Kaiser Breitlander. Funeral services will be at 1pmET Friday, December 31, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin and Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pmET on Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and after 8 on Friday. Pallbearers will be Chris Morgan, Pete Breitlander, Cassidy Morgan, Jack Witt, Donald Matthews, Clay Deye, and Ron Everson. This story was posted on 2021-12-29 14:59:36
