Dixie Laverne (Bagby) Bishop, 74, Green Co., KY (1947-2021) Dixie Laverne Bagby Bishop of Green County passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at her home. She was 74 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Dixie Laverne Bagby Bishop will be conducted at 11amCT on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home 209 West Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Brenson Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 9amCT until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Mrs. Dixie Laverne Bagby Bishop was born June 14, 1947, in Green County, Kentucky to the late Lindle and Dimple Blankenship Bagby. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and served as an Elder of Greensburg Presbyterian Church. She worked at Fruit of the Loom and Clarcor. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother: Jerry Bagby and one sister: Carolyn Paxton. She was united in marriage January 8, 1968, to Larry Reed Bishop, who survives. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Troy and Shelley Bishop of Green County, KY, one daughter and son-in-law: Amy and Josh Ahern of Lexington, KY, one brother and sister-in-law: Junior and Becky Bagby of Columbia and a sister-in-law: Gwynean Bagby of Greensburg, three grandchildren: Callie Bishop, Jake Bishop and Michael Ahern, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers: Shamison Bishop, Terry Bishop, Steven Bishop, Jake Bishop, Nelson Bishop, Jamie Bishop Honorary Pallbearers: Greensburg Presbyterian Church Members The family has requested that expression of sympathy be donations to Hosparus of Green River or to Greensburg Presbyterian Church.
