Delus Jay Day, 73, Cumberland County, KY (1948-2021) Delus Jay Day, age 73, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Cumberland County Hospital. Delus was born on April 13, 1948 in Oneida, TN, to the late Jessie Jay Day and Clara Mae Byrd Day. He was of Nazarene faith and a retired coal miner and logger. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sarah Marie Day, one daughter, Noreen Hodges, three grandchildren, Yolanda Guerra, Alberto Guerra, Jr and Alisha Wright, two brothers Eddie Day and Gerald Foster and one sister Phyllis Butler. Survivors include: Two sons - Matthew Day (Deanna) and Stephen Johnson (Kimberly) both of Burkesville, KY Seven daughters - Angela Day (Shannon Bow), Melissa Wright (Stevie), Paula Garcia (Juan), Kristy Wilburn (Andre Staten) all of Burkesville, KY, Dawn Rodriguez of Cookeville, TN, Kathy Clemons (Kenny) of Tompkinsville, KY and Brittany Day of Burkesville, KY Two brothers - Dillis Day and Jimmy Foster both of Arcadia, FL Two sisters - Ruby Baxter of Arcadia, FL and Joyce Bailey of Burkesville, KY Twenty-three grandchildren - Bethany Jenkins, Desiree Wright, Adrian Guerra, Jr., Nathaniel Jay Garcia, Juan Jose Garcia, Katie Wilburn, Samuel Jay Staten, Mario Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Krista Eaks, Katelyn Moreland, Javier Moreland, Juan Day, Jayden Day, Jayla Day, Weston Wilty, Joseph Johnson, Ashton Johnson, Jessie Day, Renee Hill, Sam Bailey and Kayla Bailey Mother of his children - Maxine Dicken Day Special friend - Johnathan Orton and a host of great grandchildren and other relative and friends. Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Myers Ridge Cemetery.
