Coming events at Janice Holt and Henry Giles House in Knifley

June 11 David Hurt performed at the Giles House in Knifley as Grandpa Jones. Coming up are workshops and events through the summer:

June 25 Pottery workshop for students 7-12 years of age. The workshops are 10 to 12 and 1 to 3 central time. A fee of $10 per student is charged to cover the cost of materials. Each class is limitd to 10 students. Register by calling Clara Metzmeier 270-465-6104 no later than June 21.


July 9 Sandra Stabell presents "Fabric Footnotes: Kentucky Women and Their Quilts." This is a KHC Speakers Bureau presentation. Bring an old family quilt or a newly made quilt to display. Bring a picnic lunch. The program begins at 10 AM Central time. For more information contact Gayla Baker at 270-789-1713

August 13 Kentuckians ReadingKentuckians. Creative writers read cuttings from their own works. Readers of Kentucky literature read cuttings from their favorite Kentucky writer. Formore information call Jan Sparkman 606-878-6257

TheGiles house is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 to 5AM Central time. You may also schedule a picnic or reunion at the Giles house. Contact Clara Metzmeier at 270-465-6104
