Zena Marie (Kessinger) Parrish, 19, Green Co., KY (2002-2021)

Zena Marie Kessinger Parrish of Hodgenville, formerly of Green Co., passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. She was 19 years old.

Funeral services for Zena Marie Kessinger Parrish will be held at 2pmCT on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY. Burial will follow in the Perkins Family Cemetery in Magnolia.

Visitation will be from 10amCT until the funeral hour at 2pmCT on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.


Zena Marie Kessinger Parrish of Hodgenville, formally of Green County, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, having attained the age of nineteen years, six months and nine days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She attended Green County Middle School and Green County High School. She graduated from Taylor County High School in 2020. She is preceded in death by one nephew: Bentley Allen Kessinger.

She is survived by her husband: Matthew Owen Jesse Parrish and her infant son: Jesse Matthew-Scott Parrish, of Hodgenville, her father: Joseph Kessinger of Greensburg, her mother and stepfather: Caroline Lawson Jewell and husband Billy of Springfield, KY, three brothers: Joseph and Cynthia Kessinger, JR and Damon and Nickole Kessinger of Greensburg, Kaden Kessinger of Greensburg. Grandparents: John and Mary Kessinger, Rose and Darrell Smothers, Hammer Lawson, grandparents-in-law: Owen and Mollie Parrish and Nancy and Junior Goins, great grandfather-in-law: Rev. Dan Perkins, mother-in-law and step father-in-law: Monica and Jo DeLeon, brother-in-law: Daniel Parrish, father-in-law and step mother-in-law: Scott and Mandy Slayton, brother-in-law: Daniel Parrish, father-in-law and step mother-in-law: Scott and Mandy Slayton. nieces and nephews: Brynlee Polston, Leah Kessinger, Joseph Oliver Kessinger, Jennifer Marie Kessinger.

Pallbearers: Damon Kessinger, Joseph Kessinger Jr, Darrel Smothers, Jr., Daniel Parrish, Autumn Babbs, Stevie Allen, Thomas Sallee, Chaz Babbs

Honorary Pallbearers: Jesse Matthew-Scott Parrish and Kaden Kessinger

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for the funeral expenses.
