Bobby Stephens, 85, Russell County, KY (1936-2021) Bobby Stephens, of the Eli Community, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home. He was 85 years of age. He served four years as a Russell County Sheriff's Deputy in the mid-seventies. He raised tobacco and farmed for years, and for a time, raised Tennessee Walking horses. After public work, Bobby ran his own mechanic shop at home. He worked as a welder for Arvin Muffler Plant, in Indiana, for many years, and later was master mechanic at the Ford Garage in Russell Springs. He was born August 4, 1936, in Russell County, son of the late Urias and Ora C. Stephens. He is survived by his sons, Robert Stephens, of Newborn, Georgia, Bryan Todd Stephens, Mark Stephens, both of Russell Springs, and Terry Dwayne Stephens, of Eli; his brothers, John Edward Stephens, of Casey County, and David Dale Stephens, of Russell Springs; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elizabeth Harris Stephens, who passed away June 5, 2020; and his daughters, Monica Stephens and Genia Stephens. Funeral services are 2pmCT Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Kelly Burton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Coffey's Chapel Cemetery.
