Danny Kemp, 65, Campbellsville, KY (1956-2021)

Danny Kemp of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Louisville. He was 65 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amET on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. Dave Walters. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Danny Kemp, son of the late Coy Kemp and Argerine Sneed Kemp, was born March 23, 1956 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

Danny was a former salesman for Overhead Door Company and was currently a bus driver for the Taylor County School System.

He loved cooking for family and friends and spending time with them. He enjoyed taking his son fishing.

Danny was an honorary member of the American Legion.

He is survived by one son and one daughter: Daniel Kemp of Louisville and Megan Barnes and husband, Slade of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Owen Barnes and Nolan Barnes and two step-grandchildren: Tanner Barnes and Lauren Barnes of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister: Donnie Kemp and wife, Kathy of Louisville and Deanna Cowherd and husband, Robert "Boo" Cowherd; his fiance, Carol Bryant of Campbellsville; sister-in-law, Lois Ann Kemp of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, C. Darrell Kemp September 29, 2011.
