Eugene (Gene) Bradshaw, 76, Russell Springs, KY (1945-2021) Eugene "Gene" Bradshaw of Russell Springs passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center, in Somerset. He was 76 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pmCT on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary McQueary and Bro. Michael Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in Bernard Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10amCT on Thursday, until time for services in the funeral home chapel. Gene was born May 22, 1945, in the Bernard Ridge Community, son of the late Vernon and Parthena McQueary Bradshaw. He married Linda Hill on January 20, 1965. Gene was a mechanic for Russell Sportswear before becoming the owner and operator of B & M Feeds, of Russell Springs, which did business for over thirty years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gene was a well-known bird dog trainer. He had clients reaching as far as New York state and trained many dogs over the years. Gene and his wife, Linda, attended Dunnville First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Linda; their daughter, Angie (and John) Bennett, of Russell Springs; his brother, Joe (and Robyn) Bradshaw, of Barbourville; four grandchildren, Jessica (and Brandon) Hubbard, Holly (and Scott) George, Will Bennett and Evan Bennett; three great-grandchildren, Bennett Hubbard, Brady George and Blakelee George; and a host of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Hubbard, Scott George, Evan Bennett, Will Bennett, Darrell McQueary and Terry McQueary. Honorary pallbearers will be Kuthbert Eastham, Roy Richardson, Stevie Richardson, Roger Blankenship, Jeter Coffey and Gary Coffey. Gene's arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
