Shirley Mae Bush Giles, 82, Columbia, KY (1939-2021) Shirley Mae Bush Giles of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY. She was 82 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Barry Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Pellyton Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10amCT on Friday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born in Adair County on February 12, 1939 to the late Walter and Amanda Corbin Bush. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin D. Giles. Mrs. Giles was a member of the Barnett's Creek United Methodist Church and a former member of the Pellyton Homemakers. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include two children David Giles (Teresa) and Debbie Giles Perkins both of Columbia, KY; three grandchildren Deanna Cole (Dallas), Amanda Giles (Troy Kays) and Zack Giles (Stacy); seven great grandchildren Trevor Cole (Tara Taylor), Tegan Cole, Kylie Morris, Olivia Kays, Addison Giles, Kennedy Giles and Madalynn Giles and several cousins, friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Zack Giles, Dallas Cole, Trevor Cole, Tegan Cole, Shad Giles and Tylar Coffey. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
