Janet Kay Bailey, 79, Metcalfe County, KY (1942-2021) Janet Kay Bailey, 79, of the Big Meadow Community passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home. She was a member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church and a retired cook from McDonalds in Edmonton. She lived her life putting God first in all things. She loved her family and her cats. She was born September 20, 1942 to the late Ernest Odon and Myrtle Gertrude Gilley Pierce. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Everett Bailey in 2006. She was also preceded in death by a brother Donnie Ray Pierce. She is survived by two children - Valarie Pennington of Knob Lick, and Rockey Bailey of Glasgow Three sisters - Doris Walden of Louisville, Judy Thompson of Greensburg and Lisa Strode of Center. Three grandchildren - Whitney Bartley of Tompkinsville, Rockey Adam Bailey of Horse Cave and Dana Harris of Bowling Green Three great grandchildren - Gannon, Addison and Braxton Bailey. Funeral services for will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 1:30pmCT at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton. Burial will be in the Big Meadow Cemetery.
