Bowling Park Food Pantry receives donation from Red Lick

By Chris Lagermann

Bill Lagermann recently completed a Thrivent Action Team event collecting food for the Bowling Park Food Pantry in Edmonton. He has belonged to a group that used to be called Aid Association for Lutherans, that is now called Thrivent Financial.

They are a "different kind of financial services organization". They help people make smart choices about their money and have been doing that for over 100 years.

But they also help Christians "Live Generously" by helping others. Members can lead a Thrivent Action Team and give back to others.

Thrivent supplies $250 in "Community Impact Seed Money" to help with a project. One of the things everyone loves is the shirts that Thrivent supplies for volunteers that promote the theme "Live Generously".

Please check out our Red Lick Family with the food collected for the Food Pantry and looking good in their Thrivent shirts. It was so nice to be able to join together for fellowship and good food and to be able to give back to our community.
