Delsie Hardison, 94, retired school teacher

Funeral services will be held for Delsie Hardison on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was a retired school teacher who taught in Adair and Jefferson Counties, and was a member of the Gradyville Baptist Church. She is survived locally by her son Tommy of Gradyville.

Mrs. Hardison, of 3378 Jones Chapel Road, Columbia, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Westlake Regional Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Dallas and Stella Curry Furkin and the widow of Noah R. Haridison who preceded her in death in 1979.

Survivors include:
  • One son, Thomas R. Hardison of Gradyville
  • One daughter, Judith Ann Moore of Louisville
  • One brother, J. B. Furkin of Cincinnati
  • One sister, Elizabeth Allen of Florida, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Audra Stotts, Ruby Nobles and Margie Hines.

Bro. Randy Johnson will officiate at the Tuesday morning service.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday.
