Billy Gordon Wright, 81, Campbellsville, KY (1940-2021) Billy Gordon Wright of Campbellsville, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home. He was 81 years old. The funeral services for Billy Gordon Wright will be conducted at 1pmCT on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Clay Dickie Scott and Bro. Jim Collison officiating. Burial will follow in the Davenport Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Tuesday until time of the funeral service. Billy Gordon Wright, son of the late Ream B. "Hoss" Wright and Lou Vera Mays Wright was born on Thursday, February 15, 1940. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. He was a farmer, had formerly worked for Greensburg Manufacturing, and retired from Central Farmers Supply. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Lee Hamilton Wright of Campbellsville having united in marriage on April 25, 1959. Other survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Greta Lynn Wright, and Phyllis and Glen Williams all of Campbellsville; a grandson: Christopher Williams of Campbellsville; a brother and sister: Otis Wright and Sherry Clark both of Taylor County; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers: Christopher Williams, Doug Shive, David Thompson, Rodney Whitlow, Steve Pickett, Jeremy Clark Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
