Lohmann Rayburn Sidebottom, 89, Green County, KY

Lohmann Rayburn Sidebottom, born August 16, 1932, in Pierce, Green County, Kentucky to A.L. "Boss" Rayburn and Zelma Thompson Rayburn, passed away November 16, 2021 at age 89.

She made a profession of faith in Christ at age twelve and joined her family church, the Houks Chapel United Methodist Church in Pierce, Kentucky November 26, 1944. She later joined and attended the Nicholasville United Methodist Church.

After having earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education (Grades 1-8) from Western Kentucky University, she completed the Master of Arts degree in education from Western Kentucky University. She retired from the Green County School System in 1992 having taught thirty-seven and a half years.



She married R. Leslie Sidebottom Wednesday, May 28th,1958. He preceded her in death at their home in Nicholasville, Kentucky on June 26, 2019.

Lohmann and her husband, Leslie was blessed with one son, Leslie Lee (Lori) Sidebottom and the grandchildren, Sean (Dana) Blankenship, Jordan (Brandon) Worley, and the great grandchildren, Aubrey Elizabeth Worley and Lauren Mackenzie Worley.

Some great and great great nieces and nephews survive. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Paul Rayburn (Bernice), Nephews, Paul, Benny, Joe, and Phil Rayburn and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and June Sidebottom.

On November 16, 2021, Lohmann departed this earthly life and even though we are deeply saddened and will miss her much, we can rejoice in the fact that she is now with Jesus her Savior and has been united with her beloved husband, Leslie. She had attained the age of eighty-nine years and three months.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lohmann Sidebottom will be conducted 1pmCT Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. William Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Rayburn Cemetery in the Pierce Community of Green County. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday and after 7 Saturday until time for the funeral service.

Pallbearers: Brennan Nelson, Braiden Nelson, Sean Blankenship, Brandon Worley, James Sharon Wallace, Albert Sutton.

Honorary Pallbearer: Bill Nelson.

Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
