Joyce E. McFarland, 68, Russell County, KY (1953-2021) Joyce E. McFarland, age 68, of Jamestown, KY passed away Friday, November 12, 2021. Born on Wednesday, October 21 1953, in Franklin, Indiana, she was the daughter of Doris Kirby Sowder and James Sowder who has preceded her in death. Survivors include: 1 Son: Michael McFarland, spouse Tracee, of Russell Springs KY. 1 Step-Daughter: Dana Lyons, spouse Randy, of Cincinnati OH 1 Step-Son: Donald McFarland Jr., of Cincinnati OH 4 Sisters: Sheila Slone, of Milford OH; Patricia Coffey, of Russell Springs; Rhonda McFerron, of Broadhead KY; Stephanie Sowder, of Milford OH 1 Brother: James Sowder, of Liberty Township, OH She is survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren also survive. She was a nurses aid for home health. Besides her father she is preceded in death by her brothers, Roger, Ricky and Steve Sowder. Funeral services will be 12noonCT Tuesday, November 16 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will begin at 11am on Tuesday. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Highway 3525, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Micah Blakey officiating. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
