Remembering Belvia Montgomery By her granddaugher, Vickie Jean Long Granny you were not here this birthday to open up your cards (always looking for money in them) or to open up your many presents. You would have celebrated your 96th birthday this year. Instead you are in heaven with our Lord, the one you loved and served. This year for your birthday you have traded in an old tired body for a new one that can run, shout and praise God eternally and never get tired. Instead of your new dress, you've received a robe of white and a crown. You won't need new stuff to fix up your room in the nursing home, because this year you are in a new mansion. The most amzing thing this year for your birthday, you got to meet Jesus, the one who gave his life so you could be with him in Heaven. Granny you walked with the Lord down here on earth, now you get to walk with him on the streets of gold in Heaven. I know this year the list of guest for your birthday will be quite different. I believe that Grandpa Chat, Barabara Jean (my mother), Aunt Flossie, Uncle JC, Aunt Lizzie, all of the brothers and sisters you lost, will be there celebrating with you. But in honor of your birthday this year, we are still having you a special dinner to celebrate your life. Granny, you had a great life here on earth, I know your reward is eternal life with our Heavenly Father. I know I will see you again someday, and hope to hear you say, "Vickie Jean, I have been waiting to see you." I love you so very much and miss you even more. Love, Vickie Jean vickie_dyer@mcgraw-hill.com 270-343-6658 This story was posted on 2005-05-14 09:38:53
