Unofficial Adair Co. results in Special Election

According to unofficial results, Michael Sarge Pollock appears to be the next State Representative for Kentucky's 51st district, carrying both Adair and Taylor Counties by a comfortable margin.

Polls closed at 6pmCT in Adair County. The following are unofficial Adair County results in the November 2, 2021, Special Election for State Representative in Kentucky's 51st District:
  • Michael Sarge Pollock: 1,797
  • Eddie Rogers: 379
  • Timothy Gordon Shafer: 70
Total votes cast in Adair County: 2,246.

As votes began coming in, Adair County Republican Party leaders Jason Rector and Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin were among those discussing the days indications for their candidate Michael "Sarge" Pollock. He turned out to be the winner in both Adair and Taylor Counties in the Special Election for State Representative in Kentucky's 51st District

Studying the totals

The November 2, 2021 Special Election for State Representative in Kentucky's 51st District was a long, tough experience for Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer, center, her staff and the Election Commissioners. With only five voting places open and the ability for voters to choose any of the five locations, precinct totals could not be immediate as in the old days, before the pandemic. They will be available, but just not as quickly. Pictured pouring over totals are Sheriff Josh Brockman at left, Greer, and Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan.
