Iola Lobb Henderson, 89, Green Co., KY (1931-2021)

Iola Lobb Henderson of Summersville passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was 89 years old.

The funeral services for Iola Lobb Henderson will be conducted at 1pmCT on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Richard Johnson, and Bro. Brandon Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Tuesday until time of the funeral service.


Iola Lobb Henderson, daughter of the late Elijah Thomas Lobb and Eva Thurman Milby Lobb, was born on Thursday, December 24, 1931.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Summersville Nazarene Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Albert Lewis Henderson on November 1, 1948 who preceded her in death on May 5, 2016.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Connie Henderson of Summersville; a daughter and son-in-law: Pamela and Rick Moon of Summersville; four grandchildren: Jason Henderson of Summersville, Patrick (Michelle) Henderson of Monticello, Trecinda (Robbie) Kimbler of Greensburg, and Nick (Kelly) Moon of Summersville; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a sister: Frances Dobson of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Henderson was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters: Harold Lobb, Woodrow Lobb, Dencil Lobb, Cecil Lobb, Charles Booker Lobb, Lilly Mae Lobb, Maxine Milby, and Della Lobb.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Wilson Cemetery Fund, or Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
