Urgent prayer request for Carlis Wilson from daughter Debbie

This is a plea for any of you who are believers to pray for our family. Dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer and without a touch from God he will probably not be around long enough to write another story for us to enjoy reading.

I am Carlis Wilson's daughter Debbie Bertram and I know many of you read my dad's stories that he loves to write about the good ole days in Adair County.

He was admitted to Ball Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 29. They confirmed that he indeed had lung cancer on Tuesday, May 3. We were also told today that it looks as though the cancer started in his pancreas. He is being made comfortable at this time with medication but no treatment is available for a cure.

Dad has had a long successful ministry and he commented last night how God was using his illness to bring people closer to God and to one another.

Thanks so much for your concern and prayers.
