Pedestrian Kenneth Ramsey, II, 17, injured Wednesday

Kenneth Ramsey II, age 17, was injured when struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross Jamestown Street from Westlake Primary Care to Wal-Mart on Wednesday.

Investigating the accident, Columbia Police report that Lana Wagner was driving the vehicle which struck Ramsey. He was transported by EMS to Westlake Regional Hospital and later transferred to Kosairs Childrens Hospital.


Wagner was northbound driving a 1995 Kia Sportage. Witnesses stated that Ramsey was not crossing at the crosswalk and ran out from behind a van that was in the turning lane.

The accident happened during the noon hour on Wednesday. Both Ramsey and Wagner are from Columbia.
