Michael Wayne Houk, 65, Green County, KY

Michael Wayne Houk of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Duluth Odell Houk and Mildred Geneva Lobb Houk, was born on Tuesday, September 18, 1956 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville. He was 65 years, and 21 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was employed with Dart Container Corporation for over 10 years, was a self-employed carpenter, and was known as the "Handyman".

Survived by his wife of 25 years, Annette Sullivan Houk of Greensburg having united in marriage on July 19, 1996. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Carolyn Alice Houk on October 22, 1992.

Other survivors include

two sons: Davith Wayne Houk and his companion, Cathy Millett, and Joshua Houk all of Lexington;

a daughter and son-in-law: Candice and Bobby Feather of Campbellsville;

two step-children: Samantha Wilson of Elizabethtown, and Christopher Ozment of Greensburg;

eight grandchildren: Thorin Houk, Cody Perez, Miranda Burgin, Jacob Thomas, Matthew Helm, Caleb Feather, Nathaniel Feather, and Madeline Sallee;

a great-grandchild: Whitney Hurst;

a sister and brother-in-law: Christie and John Shofner of Campbellsville;

a brother and sister-in-law: Donnie and Rita Houk of Greensburg;

and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Houk was also preceded in death by a brother: Jackie Houk.

The funeral services for Michael Wayne Houk will be conducted at 11amCT Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Landis officiating. Visitation is requested from 4-8 Tuesday.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
