Kathy Piercy, 60, Columbia, KY (1961-2021)

Kathy (McGaha) Piercy of Columbia passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 60 years old.

The funeral service and burial will be private. The family requests that all attendees wear a facial covering.

Visitation is requested on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 5pmCT until 8pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.

She was born March 27, 1961, to the late Bobby and Sue McGaha and was employed by the Adair County School System, teaching Special Education at Adair County Middle School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Josh Piercy.

Survivors include:
  • One son and daughter-in-law - Justin and Tara Piercy of Smiths Grove
  • One sister and brother-in-law - Vicki and Jeff Hatcher of Columbia
  • One brother - Darrell McGaha of Columbia
  • Six grandchildren - Lexie Piercy, Jacob McCoy, Summer Piercy, Alexis Lobb, McKenzie Piercy, Braelyn Piercy
  • Three nephews and two nieces - Nick McGaha, Tyler McGaha, Autumn McGaha, Blake Hatcher and Malisha Hatcher
  • Several other relatives and friends
