CPD: Trafficking arrest on Hudson Street

On Thursday night, September 30, 2021, officers from the Columbia Police Department were dispatched to FiveStar on Hudson Street shortly before 7pmCT for a female on the property acting suspiciously.

Upon arrival, contact was made with a female outside the store and it was determined that she was under the influence. Party on scene had several bags in her possession. K9 Unit Cally was utilized and alerted on the property. A subsequent search of the bags yielded findings of drug paraphernalia, narcan, and suspected methamphetamine.


Lauren Howard, 33, of Olmstead, KY, was taken into custody and has been charged with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in a controlled substance methamphetamine.

Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by Officer Josh Durbin.
