Trooper Island receives $500 check in honor of R. Fred Capps

BURKESVILLE, KY : On behalf of the R. Frd Capps Memorial Golf Tournament Committee, Catherine Capps presented Trooper Island witha a check for $500.The donation was in memory of Commonwealth's Attorney R. Fred Capps, who was killed in June of 2000.

This year, the R. Fred Capps Memorial Tournament will be held on September 10, 2005, at Hidden Hills Country Club in Tompkinsville, KY, Cathi Capps said.

"The funds which have been raised from the tournament have been distributed to help several youth groups and organizations in the area since the tournment was establlished."

Anyone wishing to participate in this year's torunament can contact the Capps Law Office at 270-864-3306.

Entry forms will be available in July 2005.
