G. W. Porter, 81, Campbellsville, KY (1939-2021)

G. W. Porter of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He was 81 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Dr. Billy Compton and Steve Morris. Burial will follow in Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


G. W. Porter of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Porter and Winnie Sanders Porter, was born December 31, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.

He united in marriage to Faye Brockman December 3, 1960.

Besides his beloved wife of sixty years, Faye Porter of Campbellsville, G. W. is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Morris and husband, Steve and Sherri Price and husband, Nevin of Campbellsville and Janice Flygstad and husband, Dennis of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren: Cole Price and Alex Price of Campbellsville, Aimee Morris Walker and husband, Darius and Shane Morris and wife, Katie of Mt. Washington, Felicia Evans Spaulding and husband, Matthew and Rayleen Flygstad of Lawrenceburg; five great-grandchildren: Hadlee Morris, Harper Morris, Jaxon Walker, Malachi Spaulding and Mattie Spaulding; one sister and two brothers: Sue Sallee and husband, David of Lebanon, Ronald Porter and wife, Patricia of Campbellsville and Randall Porter and wife, Brenda of Finley; a special friend, Pat Hardesty; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. G.W. was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Price; one brother, Roy Elwood Porter and one sister, Joyce Wooldridge.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church Renovation Fund or Hosparus of Green River or Gideon Bibles. Donations may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
