Minnie Delores Acree, 76, Russell Springs, KY (1944-2021) Minnie Delores Acree of Russell Springs passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at her home. She was 76 years old. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2pmCT on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Johnny Davis and Bro. Daniel Masongale officiating. Interment will follow in White's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11amCT on Wednesday, at Bernard Funeral Home, until time for services. Minnie was born on December 6, 1944, in Alexandria, Virginia, daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Speaks Johnson. She married Jimmie Acree and three children were born to their union. Minnie loved crocheting and working with her flowers. She loved cooking and baking. Minnie was a member of White's Chapel Separate Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jimmie; her daughters, Tracy (and Barry) Stephens and Kelly (and Roger) York, both of Russell Springs; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Acree, of Russell Springs; her brother, Bobby (and Brenda) Johnson, of Culpepper, Virginia; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Minnie is preceded in death by her son, Mark Acree; her sister, Frances Watson; and her grandsons, Zachary Stephens and Logan York. Pallbearers will be Nathan Acree, Branden York, James Colton Collins, Brian Atchley, Shawn Atchley and Emory Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503. The Acree family requests facial coverings be worn while in attendance of services.
