Eddie Rogers nominated for special election By Vicky Pike The Executive Committees of Adair and Taylor county Democrat parties met at Miller Park in Campbellsville Thursday night to nominate a person to run for the seat of the 51st district House of Representatives seat left vacant by the death of Bam Carney. Eddie Rogers' name was placed in nomination by Larry Joe Smith and approved by all those present. Only one person expressed interest in running on the Democrat ticket. Those present at the meeting were Frank Cheatham, Vicky Pike, Pam Shearer, Janet Vazquez, Shawn Cundiff, Blanch Minor, Bobby Kirtley, Julie Shields, Tonya Rogers, Michelle Jeffries, Dwayne Golightly, and Shannon Cox, Taylor County chair.
