CPD: Liberty man arrested for meth, tampering with evidence By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department The Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Burksville Street on Monday night, September 6, 2021. After making contact with the vehicle's operator, CPD officers obtained permission to search the vehicle. Officers located a glass pipe inside the vehicle. While party was outside his vehicle, he grabbed the pipe and threw it over a hillside. The subject was placed in custody, the pipe was located, and the vehicle search resumed. Brad Vaughn, 44, of Liberty, is facing numerous charges, including tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and traffic violations as well. Officer Joey Keith was the arresting Officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Justin Cross and Sgt Drew Conn. This story was posted on 2021-09-07 09:23:40
