Anna Lee Wise Johns, 84, Campbellsville, KY (1937-2021)

Anna Lee Wise Johns of Campbellsville passed away on Saturday August 28, 2021. She was 84 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Tuesday, August 28, 2021, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Mark Price. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Monday.


Anna Lee Wise Johns, daughter of the late Forrest D. Wise Sr. and Ruby M. Childs was born June 11, 1937 in Taylor County.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

Anna Lee was a homemaker who dearly loved and supported her family. She always attended all their ballgames and horseshows. She was a long time chairman of the Horseshows for the Taylor County Fair Board and was active with 4H clubs. She loved all sports except football and was a huge UK fan. She enjoyed being outdoors and especially watching the hummingbirds that came to the feeders she had out for them.

She united in marriage to Tommy Johns November 9, 1958. He preceded her in death August 19, 2002.

She is survived by one son and one daughter: Terry Johns and wife, Carlotta and Debbie Browning and husband, Eddie of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Alex Browning and wife, Kaelyn, Matthew Johns and wife, Brandi, Tiffany Browning, Logan Johns and fiancee Haley Wright, and J.T. Johns of Campbellsville; Anna Lee was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great-grandchild due in September; she is also survived by one brother, Carl Lee Wise and wife Mildred of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Beulah Smothers, Doris Jean Magers, Merle Wise, Norman B. Wise, and Forrest Wise Jr.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Memorial Bibles.
